Maureen Van Wormer-Westburg began creating the breed in the late 1980's right here in the usa. she was nicknamed Micky and this is where the Mi-Ki originated from. Micky began with the purebred Papillion, Japanese Chin, and Maltese. She purposely bred for a non-shedding, hypo-allergenic coat. They are calm yet playful with cat like mannerisms, gentle, social, outgoing, and extrememly loving to people as well as other animals. The Mi-ki will average about 5-8 pounds as adults.
One girl and Two boys...all healthy and very active.

Tiny Boy. Small but mighty!
Our tiny boy weights 5.7 oz. now. He is doing very well. He a great
little eater and loves to be with his Mom. He has the most black on
him. At the vet they said he looks like he is wearing a tuxedo. So
I've been calling him Tux. Don't worry family you get to name him.
