Maureen Van Wormer-Westburg began creating the breed in the late 1980's right here in the usa. she was nicknamed Micky and this is where the Mi-Ki originated from. Micky began with the purebred Papillion, Japanese Chin, and Maltese. She purposely bred for a non-shedding, hypo-allergenic coat. They are calm yet playful with cat like mannerisms, gentle, social, outgoing, and extrememly loving to people as well as other animals. The Mi-ki will average about 5-8 pounds as adults.
One girl and Two boys...all healthy and very active.

Our girl! At 1 week old
I am hoping to keep this little girl. She started out at 4.1 oz and is now 4.6 oz. She has a black heart on her left side. I am thinking about calling her Sophia's Heart. If you have any suggestions for a name, I would love to hear them.
